More Teeth doesn't review one-offs or touring productions - but we love to go to them! One of note is the Edwards Twins who are maintaining a long residency at Via Roma restaurant on the Hill.Two brothers impersonating musical celebrities galore...one does the Guys, one does the Ladies...and they do them perfectly. This is not just a nod to Babs...or Cher...or Bette...this *is* Babs, Bette and Sonny's ex (including the crotch-floss 80's Cher - don't ask how they do it...even from ten feet away, you'll be searching for an angry inch and not finding any). Aside from the brilliant impersonations, the closing original composition delivers the most. Worth it for the price of admission alone.
There's enough info on their website to give you the full scope of the act, but trust us - for the price of a halfway decent meal (and some overpriced drinks), you're in for a solid night of top-shelf, Vegas-sized entertainment on Federal Hill. It's bizarre that a show this good is tucked away in a banquet room that looks like somewhere your Auntie Georgina would frequent, but there it is. A hidden gem, running through October 27th. If you thought you'd missed Barbara in her prime or Billy Joel out of his, you're in luck....
